Tailor’s Bunion

A Tailor’s Bunion, also called “digitus quintus varus”, is a common attendant symptom of the regular Bunion. It is characterized by an outwardly curved deformity of the 5. toe, kind of symmetrical to the Bunion. It also causes pain at the foot as a whole, inflammation of joints and an unnatural gait pattern. Despite their similarities, both diseases have to receive different medical treatment.

A Tailor’s Bunion can also be treated by surgically correcting the bones.
